Godzilla Image of the Day

Everyone knows how much I like images that compare Godzilla against other various items.

(You can find most of my previous examples here).

Here's one that compares him to Big Bird, Optimus Prime from the Transformers films, Mr. Big Puff, etc.

Look at how tiny Optimus looks against Godzilla!

Godzilla could easily swallow him without even chewing! And Jabba the Hut is nothing but drool at this point.

I believe this is the Godzilla from the 90's era as 300 feet would be the biggest from any other decade.

Great stuff.

Legendary chief touts slate, China plans

If you ever wanted to see a picture of the man most responsible for getting this new Godzilla movie going, as well as a bunch of other superhero films from The Dark Knight, Watchmen, Superman Returns, it's Thomas Tull.

He helped found Legendary Pictures, which has produced all of these and other popular films, and I found an interesting article highlighting his production company.

It's no secret that Tull's a fan of the sci-fi/comic book genre otherwise he wouldn't have bothered to get a lot of these going.

True they're also money-making machines right now...but one still has to be passionate about what they're wanting to do in order to make it a success.

As such Tull has seemingly focused on the most popular "geek" titles around and to the betterment of everybody reading this wants to make good movies out of them.

Godzilla # 3 Rankings

Sorry for the delay in posting the latest results for Godzilla #3.

I hadn't realized I had skipped a month when I suddenly saw that #4's rankings were already out, which'll be reported on soon enough.

So how did this issue do?

Well last time issue #2 had come in at 176th place with 9,753 issues sold.

Issue #3 has now debuted at...177th place (a drop again of only 1 slot) with 9,281 issues sold.

If one word could describe this series thus far in terms of sales it's "consistency".

Previous Godzilla series' such as "Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters" tended to be all over the place. This series however has remained steady and true.

It'll be interesting to see how issue #4 pans out, which again I'll be reporting on soon.
