'Godzilla' sighting in Voorheesville

Okay maybe not Godzilla, but at least the closest cousin if one takes into consideration the 1998 film.

Over in Voorheesville, NY, a pet iguana called "Godzilla" has escaped its owner's apartments and had run up a tree.

The unique thing about this story is that...as of yet...this iguana hasn't come down yet!

Some firefighters attempted to rescue it but it just scurried even further up the tree, now resting at a 50 foot height and out of reach.

The neighbors think it's resting there not because it's scared to come back down, but because it enjoys the relaxing view and the heat of the sun.

No doubt the owner named it "Godzilla" after the 1998 film, so it's interesting to see that it too remains as elusive as the kaiju was during the film!
