Finally added another STAR WARS soundtrack to my collection, in this case being THE LAST JEDI (which I got free thanks to some reward points!). I am TWO soundtracks away from completing my entire SW collection, with the remaining ones being REVENGE OF THE SITH and RISE OF SKYWALKER. I’m in no rush...I’ll get them in time. This is a rare situation where a film I initially hated has now grown on me, especially after that ROS debacle. TLJ took some very bold choices and ran with them, and now that I think about it there’s a lot of covert nostalgic sense involved. Luke’s hermit role was exactly like Obi-Wan’s; Luke’s reluctant training towards Rey was exactly what Yoda did with him; Rey running off early to confront Snoke was exactly what Luke did with Darth Vader; Kylo Ren betraying Snoke was exactly what Vader did with the Emperor; and so on. In any case I’m old school and I love CDs and the photo inserts. I especially love this one...a SKYWALKER training a PALPATINE...very poetic in the SW realm.
