For this Saturday’s GAMEBOY ART let’s take a look at another blockbuster movie-inspired game, ROBOCOP!  A classic film should have an equally great Gameboy game yes?  Well I’m happy to state that it definitely looks like the case here.

As you can see this level showcases that pivotal scene where ROBOCOP faces ED-209. I love how the game developers captured all of its riveting details.  There’s the executive office the battle took place in.  ED-209 looks amazingly detailed, still as frightening as ever, down to the piston-like joints and darkened visor.  ROBOCOP has enough detail too.  You can even make out that inward dimple he has on his shoulders.

But it’s always the little details that count.

For example you can see the plush executive rug they’re stomping on.  There’s the executive office desk DICK JONES had (with a BONUS DICK JONES sitting in it!), complete with banker desk lamps.  I especially loved seeing the large executive window featuring the DETROIT cityscape in the background, the very city DICK and the OLD MAN were trying to control (or save, from their perspective).

Great stuff!
